Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation Names Susan Lee Vick as their new CEO

Susan Lee Vick has been selected to be the next CEO at Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation, in partnership with Braden Busch and the Scion Executive Search team.

In this role, effective December 5th, 2022, Vick will bring a new sense of leadership and direction to the foundation after longtime Executive Director Elena Bicker retired after 16 long years of service. Here is an excerpt from Bicker on the new announcement:

“I’m incredibly proud of everything ARF has accomplished in its past,” said Bicker. “But at the same time, know Susan’s experience and enthusiastic leadership will take it to even greater heights in the future.”

Vick is a graduate of UC Davis and comes to ARF with over 12 years of leadership experience with nonprofit organizations such as the Church Investment Group, Canine Companions, Point Blue Conservation Science, and the Hugh Futrell Corporation. From Vick: ‘It’s a joy and privilege to focus my skills, experience, and personal passion on advancing Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation’s unique dual mission, “People Rescuing Animals…Animals Rescuing People.”
