Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of Workforce Partnership (STEM) for our client in Cambridge, MA! This is a wonderful, hybrid, full-time, direct hire opportunity with a mission driven team!
 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop strategies for growing a financially self-sustaining business leveraging core investments and identifying sources of funding from other government agencies, industry, academia, and philanthropies.
  • Identify and lead the development of proposals.
  • Build a network of funders across philanthropic organizations, state, local, and federal agencies.
  • Review, innovate and scale current programs across the Nation in partnership with high schools, community colleges, universities, workforce and economic development partners, training organizations, content creators and industry.
  • Manage programs and projects, including logistics, scheduling, resource/equipment planning, staffing, data collection, data analysis, and detailed reporting.
  • Evaluate programs to ensure they are impactful to industry, high quality, scalable and sustainable.
  • Cultivate existing relationships and develop new relationships with potential partners to grow membership.
  • Increase awareness and represent the Institute at national conferences and events.
  • Conduct continuous research and provide thought leadership into current workforce development trends and needs in the industry to help inform future initiatives.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the Department of Defense on all matters and reporting requirements.
  • Recruit for the council.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years of experience in a business development role within industry, workforce development or university experience working with proposals, program management, curriculum and workforce development, etc.
  • Experience developing large proposal or grant submissions for local, state, federal and philanthropic funding opportunities.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software a plus, but not required.
  • Experience creating and/or evaluating curriculum and other educational elements.
  • Masters or Doctorate in relevant field a plus, but not required.
  • Background or experience with textiles industry a plus, but not required.
 


COMPENSATION:
This opportunity offers a salary of $160,000 to $180,000 annually as well as PTO, PSL, medical, vision and dental insurance, and a fully vested 401K.
