Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a high-priority search for a Program Coordinator for our client, an amazing nonprofit that strives to reunite children in the foster care system with their families throughout Ohio. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of an impactful and professional growing nonprofit. This is a direct-hire, full-time opportunity that is hybrid with two days onsite in the Cleveland, OH area.  

OVERVIEW
The Program Coordinator is a full-time position dedicated to providing primary support to the Nonprofit Programs.  The Program Coordinator reports to the Program Manager. The primary functions of this role include administrative support, coordinating statewide, regional, and programmatic communications and events, and managing records. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating travel accommodations, tracking information through the use of spreadsheets and online database tools, and maintaining professional relationships with external vendors and contractors.


The program is a specialized, intense, family search and engagement, that uses diligent search strategies to identify a vast array of connections for children and families encountering child welfare. They empower kinship caregivers and wrap them in stabilizing support using relentless effort, focus, and determination.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Provide consistent administrative support on an individual, team, and programmatic basis.
  • Make comprehensive training and meeting arrangements, including food orders, facility amenity coordination, and other logistics.
  • Complete travel arrangements for self and others.
  • Provide training and meeting scheduling support, including creation and maintenance of in person and virtual training and learning community schedules.
  • Take clear comprehensive notes.
  • Assist in planning support for meetings, special projects, and requests.
  • Provide polished written and verbal communications. 
  • Prepare, distribute and maintain all meeting and training supplies and materials in a timely manner. 
  • Coordinate training registration and evaluation process. 
  • Keep materials up-to-date and produced in a professional manner.
  • Coordinate communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot issues and respond to questions from meeting participants, training attendees, site partners, and team. 
  • Maintain orderly and complete files and records.
  • Produce reports and presentations.  
  • Performs other responsibilities assigned by the Program Manager.


WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Social Work, Social Services, Business Administration, or related field, preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with teams utilizing strategies to overcome obstacles.
  • Experience in the child welfare field with knowledge of foster care and adoption, strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with interdisciplinary teams utilizing innovative strategies to overcome obstacles.
  • Ability to use customer service initiatives to work with partner sites Strong written and verbal communication
  • Related experience using databases preferred.
  • Organization and superior time management skills with the ability to meet multiple program deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Process management skills.
  • Adaptation, flexibility, and dependability.
  • Teamwork, initiative, and problem solving.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
  • Experience maintaining an internal Share Point site and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, required.



COMPENSATION
A rewarding career and generous salary of $52-$55K (depending on experience) plus a full and robust benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, retirement with a 3% employer match, and a generous amount of paid time off plus an additional 8 floating holidays.
