Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been retained to conduct the search for a contract Facilities Manager for our client, a well-known Nonprofit Organization in Napa Valley, CA

Seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the grounds and security of a beautiful property in the heart of Napa Valley. The position ensures compliance with government health and safety standards. Additionally, this position oversees daily operations of the organization and manages security across the campus and supervises security and facilities staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and maintain safety programs & training initiatives.
  • Oversees safety-related policies & procedures for staff, volunteers and public.
  • Work collaboratively with Staff to ensure facilities support and the enhancement of the visitor experience 
  • Manage logistics for programs and events including those hosted for other groups and individuals in coordination with event manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations.
  • Serve as company representative with local, state and federal agencies with regards to required site inspections and testing.
  • Act as liaison with fire, police and inspection officials
  • Supervise physical campus security functions (security guards, security/fire alarms, locksmiths, camera system, etc.).
  • Supervise and motivate facilities staff to ensure effective management of daily operations.
  • Ensure ongoing standardized and preventative maintenance procedures for facility equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.
  • Manage and oversee pest management, housekeeping, and maintenance needs of indoor and outdoor sites
  • Oversees cleaning and maintenance of all campus facilities.
  • Manage all building and site vendor relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3 years of management experience for a large public campus with multiple building/event spaces.
  • Experience working with and managing contractors and subcontractors and working with went entities that share property rights and access
  • Excellent organizational skills with particular attention to detail and process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization and with outside vendors.
  • Familiarity with operational/technical requirements of a visual arts and event center a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work well independently; proven resourcefulness and a problem solver.
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to understand blueprints and site documents
  • Ability to be on call to respond to emergencies as needed

COMPENSATION:

This opportunity offers a pay rate of $35+ hourly, depending on experience. There is great potential to grow professional while working for an organization that makes a difference.
