Chief Executive Officer

Position Announcement

Scion Executive Search (www.scionexecutivesearch.com) has been retained to conduct a search for the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Nursing and Therapy Services of Colorado (NTSOC), a wonderful nonprofit organization serving families of children and young adults with disabilities in Southern Colorado. This amazing full-time executive leadership opportunity is for immediate hire and will work primarily based out of NTSOC’s offices in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado.

ABOUT NTSOC:

NTSOC provides compassionate quality home care, case management, CNA training and outpatient therapy to local communities in Southern Colorado to help create the best possible outcomes as defined by the client, family members and care team.  NTSOC was started by a parent with a disabled child in 2001 to access Medicaid support available for children with disabilities – and the parents caring for them. NTSOC’s primary programming provides home nursing care services to pediatric patients with disabilities such as CNA care in the home, physical, occupational and speech therapy, outpatient clinic therapies and skilled nursing. Particular emphasis is placed on training families of pediatric patients with disabilities to become independent. Over 95% of NTSOC’s revenue stems from Medicaid, and in a largely for-profit space, NTSOC is one of the only nonprofit organizations doing this work in Colorado, bringing a mission-driven and inspired focus to the organization’s services and approach.

NTSOC is anchored in beautiful Colorado Springs, CO, near the base of Pike’s Peak on the Eastern side of the Rocky Mountains and just 60 miles south of Denver. As Colorado’s second most populous city, Colorado Springs is home to The United States Air Force Academy and 24 national sports governing bodies, including the United States Olympic Committee and USA Hockey. The city is known for its many trails, parks and tourist destinations such as Garden of the Gods Park, The Broadmoor Seven Falls and Cave of the Winds Mountain Park. With startups to Fortune 500 companies, strong business and industry development, unique military assets and competitive affordability, Colorado Springs consistently ranks as one of the best places to live and work. Colorado Springs has been ranked as #1 in “Most Desirable Places to Live” (2018-2019) by U.S. News and World Report and #1 in “Fastest Growing City for Millennials” (2018) by the Brooking’s Institution.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

NTSOC’s Board is looking to grow and evolve the organization to better meet the pediatric disability healthcare needs of local and surrounding communities and to reach a broader audience. To position the organization accordingly, NTSOC is seeking a dynamic, communicative, and visionary leader with strong business acumen who can expand the organization’s reach and visibility externally while establishing internal infrastructure and people-related strategies to support these goals.

Through the implementation of learned business strategy and careful analyses, and working closely with the leadership team, the CEO will work to differentiate NTSOC from its competitors and actively monitor and identify opportunities that demonstrate NTSOC’s value proposition. Additionally, this role will cultivate a community network of nonprofit allies and governmental partners to advance NTSOC’s mission and vision. Working to empower NTSOC’s strong leadership team, the CEO will guide the improvement of processes and systems to create maximum impact on behalf of the organization.

With the mission ever-top-of-mind, reporting to the Board, the CEO will set the tone for NTSOC’s growth, impact and long-term financial stability in Southern Colorado. This executive leadership role is best suited for a candidate who is skilled at – and enjoys – external engagement and partnership development, in addition to internal operational and organizational management. This is an incredible opportunity to make a true impact in the lives of Colorado community members and further grow an established, impactful nonprofit organization.
