We’re seeking dynamic and driven Executive Director candidates for a local chapter of a well-known national nonprofit. This exciting opportunity is for immediate hire and is a permanent full-time role.
 
Our client’s mission is in the health care realm for protection for all women throughout pregnancy and after giving birth. This organization fights the fight, advocates for policies for protection, strives to drastically improve health care the woman and child receive, and increases knowledge in bringing communities together for a better future.

This nonprofit is dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusion and a collaborative environment, thus servant leaders would work best as the Executive Director in this role. The team is very supportive and all members of this organization are mission-centric and valued.

What You Will Be Doing:
The Executive Director is responsible for acting as the face and voice of this organization in the Los Angeles market and leading staff / volunteer development efforts to achieve targeted growth goals. The position serves as a liaison between the National, Regional and Market offices in order to ensure that our client’s mission and fundraising objectives are met.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Revenue Development and Fundraising: Oversee business strategy and identify innovative funding opportunities.
  • Volunteer Leadership Development: Identify and recruit volunteer leadership positions within the organization, develop volunteer cultivation strategies, and oversee the volunteer event committee.
  • Development Strategy: Review, revise, and implement the short and long-term development strategies, providing insight and direction on each pillar of development and help to define a strategy for ongoing growth.
  • Client Presentations and Public Speaking: Participate in speaking engagements to engage stakeholders and serve as the lead in all significant sponsorship asks including national sponsors.
  • Donor Cultivation: Communicate the mission, vision and values of the organization and grow meaningful relationships with donors and prospects.
  • Staff Leadership: Direct, supervise, motivate, coach and recognize staff while promoting a positive and comfortable work culture for all employees.
  • Staff Development: Provide employees with training and continual professional development in market development, fundraising, finance management, and volunteer engagement to achieve maximum profitability and productivity.
  • Executive Leadership: Consistently improve the policies, procedures, and day to day operations to fulfill organizational goals in a cost-effective manner.
  • Forecasting: Remain current on market trends and ensure accurate sales forecasting and identify opportunities for constituent development.
  • Budget and P&L: Create a budget and implement plans for the financial infrastructure consistent with the growth objectives, financial targets and market trends.
 
Qualifications:
  • Someone who’s agile and can pivot on a dime
  • Someone who is very communicative and dynamic and outgoing and creative
  • Has a knack for innovation and thinking of new ways to solve solutions
  • A very strong fundraiser, able to delegate to a team of several key development personnel, and drive a $5 million organizational budget
 
Compensation:
