Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) has been retained to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Operations Consultant for our client, a global nonprofit organization that recruits data science experts to work pro bono with visionary changemakers and solve an array of humanitarian challenges! This is a very exciting role with a collaborative and passionate team on a fully remote basis!
 
OVERVIEW
The interim Nonprofit Operations Consultant will bring a customer service orientation to support the logistical and administrative needs of the organization. This is a full time, interim position reporting to the Director of Operations.
 
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
-Systems review and documentation. From Asana to Salesforce, Greenhouse to Zoom, review the software we rely on to share information and collaborate effectively. Research who currently uses the system, recommend any cost-savings measures (reducing the number of licenses, applying a Tech Soup discount), and capture knowledge by in admin guides.
-Finance support. Submit monthly Operations team expense reports. Collect and organize documents to submit to our auditors. Support the new process of sending team leads a monthly spending report to compare to their budgets.
-Compliance. From registering for unemployment insurance in new U.S. states to customizing offer letters for new hires to updating the templates we use for our contracts, use research and detail orientation to ensure we meet legal requirements.
-Clear communication. Synthesize and present information succinctly and accessibly, from research summaries to software guidebooks to standard operating procedures to new policies, to ensure all staff and consultants have the information they need.
-Discretion. Maintain confidential employee and organizational information.
-Logistics. Manage needs like purchasing, e.g. for employee home office needs, and shipping, e.g. swag being sent to staff and volunteers.
-Staff support. Provide employees with a high level of service to resolve questions, concerns or technology issues. Identify opportunities to improve the staff and contractor experience. Look for opportunities to streamline our knowledge management by improving our Google Drive folder organization or updating our key terms glossaries.
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
-Operations and project management experience, ideally in a nonprofit or startup environment.
-The ability to work effectively from home.
-Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
-Experience working with Mac OSX, Microsoft Office suite, and cloud based software (ideally Google Suite and Salesforce) and; comfort learning new software systems quickly.
-Acute attention to detail.
-Ability to adapt to change quickly.
-Comfortable working with tight deadlines.
-Ability to be proactive and anticipate needs.
 
COMPENSATION
This position offers competitive pay of $38-$41/hr. (based on experience), flexible remote hours, as well as health, dental, vision and other benefits! This position works on an amazing team and makes an incredible impact on people all around the world!
