Scion Executive Search ( www.scionexecutivesearch.com ) has been retained to conduct an immediate search for an Interim Executive Director for our client, a highly reputable nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing recidivism rates among formerly incarcerated women in New York City.
 
This role is intended for a highly motivated leader with the desire to work within a diverse and passionate work environment. The ideal professional will be a proven leader with a successful demonstrated history of managing a nonprofit leadership team, overseeing effective change management, delivering programs to the community, and providing strategic planning and guidance to ensure the organization thrives and the mission is carried out.

What You Will Be Doing
-Oversee the organization’s day-to-day operations, finances, and programs, including managing senior staff of nine and contracted financial operations team, supporting all staff, and responsibly allocating resources
-Assess the existing managerial structure; suggest changes and implement best practices and norms as appropriate
-Contribute as needed to government funding strategy
-Conduct an organizational analysis to determine the health of each program and department, making recommendations for improvements
-Coordinate with board and staff on the restoration of facilities
-Oversee management of properties, including leases on new office spaces and reports about building repairs needed and violations issued
-Contribute to board meetings and maintain regular communication with Board President and Vice President
-Contribute to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts and make suggestions on how to further work to become an anti-racist organization
-Participate in hiring and termination of employees if necessary and make recommendations for new positions if needed
-Support internal and external communication efforts related to the executive transition

-Extensive nonprofit leadership experience
-Solid verbal and written communication skills
-Extensive knowledge on how to best approach nonprofit community engagement outreach, finance, operations and strategic planning

-The ability to succeed and adjust in a constantly evolving environment
-Operate with high moral standards
