Scion Staffing, Inc., a full-service national staffing firm, has been engaged to lead the search for a nonprofit Grant Writer for our incredible client, an industry-leading, innovative communications and marketing firm based in Austin, TX with offices across the country! This is a part-time, contract-to-hire, remote role with potential for full-time conversion and an opportunity to do impactful work on behalf of a growing organization!
 

OVERVIEW

In this role, the Grant Writer will be primarily responsible for championing the development and completion of a high volume of written fundraising projects, such as grant proposals and reports for nonprofit clients, ensuring thorough completion of all steps in the proposal and report development process, compiling, and editing existing content and writing new content as needed.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write grant proposals, fundraising-related writing projects, and reports on behalf of various nonprofit clients.
  • Research and identify high-quality prospective grant opportunities with corporations, foundations, nonprofit organizations, and government entities.
  • Communicate effectively with funders to cultivate and maintain positive relationships and respond to funder information requests.
  • Maintain orderly and accessible record of all communications, the status of proposals, copies of proposals and reports and other records necessary to an orderly, productive, and ethical grants program.
  • Assemble and submit grant requests including letters, proposals, budgets and presentations.
  • Prioritize projects to meet deadlines and manage supplemental material required for proposals.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years’ experience in grant writing or other relevant writing experience, with demonstrated success in obtaining grant driven funding from foundations, corporations, nonprofit organizations, and government entities.
  • Exceptional written communication skills and excellent research, analysis, and editing capabilities.
  • Proven project management expertise in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with attention to detail and process organization.
  • Highly flexible and self-sufficient with a strong work ethic and willingness to take on a range of writing assignments, juggle multiple projects, and support the work of multiple teams.
  • Mission-driven with a desire to do meaningful work and contribute to organizational growth!
  • Prior experience utilizing Slack, Trello, and G-Suite platforms.
  • Willingness and ability to work within Eastern Time Zone constraints.
  • Proven success with self-motivated productivity in a remote work environment.

 

PERKS AND COMPENSATION

In addition to a competitive hourly wage of $25-$32/hour (DOE), this role is completely remote and offers flexible working hours! This role is currently part-time (with hours based upon organizational needs) and has the potential for full-time, permanent conversion for a the right individual!
