Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct the search for a temp to hire Bookkeeper for our client, an impactful organization with an inspiring mission to present shelter dogs with a second chance as a service animal to veterans in need. What You Will Be Doing: 

• Maintain bookkeeping system and keep records of receipts and disbursements 
• Maintain filing systems in conduct data clean up 
• Manage AR/AP 
• Monitor past due receivables 
• Create financial reports for the leadership team 
• Reconcile enrollment contracts with billing records 
• Input deposits into the accounting system 
• Work across departments and provide accounting support 

What You Have to Offer: 

• A desire to make an impact on the lives of veterans and animals. 
• Previous bookkeeping experience in a Non-Profit environment. 
• Experience with QuickBooks and Excel 
• Superb attention to detail and excellent organizational skills 
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently with little direction 
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills 

Compensation & Additional Perks: 

The ability to work for an organization with a phenomenal mission, a positive team-oriented work environment, full benefits, and a pay of $30/hr. depending on experience.
