Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Development Manager for our client, a highly esteemed fine arts nonprofit organization in West Palm Beach! This is a very exciting role with a collaborative and passionate leadership team on a full-time basis! Ideally, the Development Manager will serve on a temp to hire basis. 

OVERVIEW
The Development Manager will play a critical role in advancing our client’s mission and priorities through leadership for all communications and fundraising activities. The Development Manager is responsible for working with the leadership team to plan, develop, and implement our client’s communications and fundraising strategies. They will oversee the administrative fundraising initiatives that support our client’s strategic goals, enhance the organization’s visibility, and support the team in cultivating key partner relationships.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
-Partner with our client’s leadership and staff to carry out an annual organization level plan for engaging donors effectively, and clear communications materials.
-Guide the work of the strategic plan to identify, cultivate, solicit, close gifts, and steward institutional and individual donors and prospects.
-Support our client in maintaining existing funding streams and donor relationships with institutional and individual donors.
-Direct the generation of regular communication with funders.
-Collaborate with the leadership team to identify internal and external fundraising and donor communications opportunities and develop and execute appropriate strategies to support them.
-Supervise a team of 3 development professionals.
-Communicate any observed needs and gaps for attention.
-Work with the team to create new opportunities to expand the foundation, corporate, and individual donor base.
-Guide the team in developing funder-specific strategies that include regular communications and touchpoints, moving toward a ask.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the Board of Directors. 
-Help the team develop practices that promote an up-to-date knowledge of the philanthropic landscape, regular funder touchpoints, and prospecting.
-Advise on the design and implementation of key donor and stakeholder communications.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
-Manager level fundraising experience, ideally in a nonprofit or fine arts space.
-Grant writing experience.
-The ability to work in office.
-Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
-Experience working with Patron Manager a plus.
-CFRE Certification a plus.
-Acute attention to detail.
-Ability to adapt to change quickly.
-Comfortable working with tight deadlines.
-Ability to be proactive and anticipate needs.
