Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct the search for a talented and experienced Training Director K-12 Education! This opportunity would oversee and develop training modules for a well-known Educational Association in Sacramento, CA. This remote/hybrid position is for immediate hire and offers an incredible opportunity to lead a dedicated and passionately focused team positioned within public school education!  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and manage the daily needs of organization’s training department
  • Develop and implement goals and strategic policies for specific areas within organization
  • Make recommendations for staffing, services, administration, and training for assigned areas of focus
  • Create presentations and review findings with Board of Directors, and committees in areas of communicated focus
  • Constantly reviewing changes in technology, regulations, and policies that could affect organization, staying abreast of innovation and trends
  • Attends and participates in professional group trainings and informational meetings
  • Develop departmental budget and forecasting needs for staffing, additional funds, expenditures and inventory materials and supplies
  • Create, develop, and implement plans for long-term and short-term goals
  • Serve as subject matter expert and implement expertise through participation on leadership team within organization
  • Exert project management in terms of training and staff level communication
  • Point of contact for all proofing, editing, marketing copy measures
  • Provides leadership while assisting or facilitating meetings of all levels of stakeholders.
  • Streamline and finalize procedures and methods to track efficiency and effectiveness of training areas and programs makes recommendations for method of improvement implementation
  • Identify leaders for leading professional development and training instruction sessions
  • Create the training agenda inclusive of content, delivery, and activities
  • Collaborate with internal and external team members, vendors, sponsors at all times to gauge program and training effectiveness
  • Partner closely with other departments such as Communications team on outreach efforts and ongoing publications
  • Travels within state of California for professional development opportunities and meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree within education, public administration, finance, education, government, legal or political sciences (preferred)
  • Experience and/ or exposure to K-12 educational topics at the district or county level
  • Minimum two years’ experience developing in-person and remote learning training content
  • Minimum five years of management and/ or increased responsibilities experience
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems
  • Working knowledge and principles of contract management
  • Knowledge of website design, HTML, Articulate and/ or similar
  • Excellent record-keeping abilities and strong organizational skills
  • CA Driver’s License and clean DMV record required
  • Ability to travel minimally overnight throughout the year

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
