Scion Nonprofit has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Communications Coordinator for an established nonprofit organization in San Francisco, CA! Our client is offering an incredible career opportunity to work hands-on with an organization committed to building a healthier, equitable, and climate-conscious community of philanthropists! This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity working a hybrid schedule (3 days/week on-site at the organization’s SF office).

The ideal Communications Coordinator will have experience in managing various communications work streams, providing marketing content support and seamlessly planning and managing events and projects, particularly in the nonprofit space. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone with a keen interest for progressing into a career in the Communications field!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Chief Communications Officer and Director of Content with team meetings and events including outlining agendas and activities, taking notes as needed
  • Ensure documentation of team planning tools and events and communications budgets are current and accurate
  • Support in-house content producers, communicating organization’s guidelines and parameters for all creative deliverables
  • Oversee content requests and submissions, communicating with project managers to ensure projects are properly documented and presented in production calendar
  • Provide creative support on decks and other internal presentations and materials
  • Build basic web pages and content updates on organization website
  • Provide creative support to the Development of Communications and Executive teams with PowerPoint presentations
  • Produce and revise web pages and design content activities, assisting external partners with various website tasks
  • Act as the liaison between special project coordinators and operations team to ensure the successful completion of tasks revolving around vendor and contractor support.
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day operations within Communications and Content teams

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
  • 3+ years of project development or management support, particularly in the nonprofit space
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud preferred
  • Working knowledge of Google Systems and Salesforce
  • Passionate about climate and environmental initiatives and mission-drive work
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse communities and teams

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
