Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an IP Patent Paralegal for our amazing client, a law firm focused on IP litigation! This is a direct-hire, hybrid opportunity located in Chicago, IL, and a fantastic opportunity to work with an amazing team!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with preparation and filing of applications and other related documents
• Ensure that all documents are processed in a timely manner, and filed accurately
• Assist with preparing and filing of patent applications and other documents
• Write and proofread regular correspondence for attorneys and paralegals and assist with the preparation of applications and correspondence to other associates, attorneys, and paralegals
• Create and maintain electronic and paper files in a way to make them easily accessible for the firm
• Manage calendar for the firm, make appointments, and schedule all travel arrangements
• Process timesheets and proofread billing sheets
• Greet clients and visitors professionally while maintaining confidentiality

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience supporting Patent Prosecution Attorneys
• Experience with Anaqua or similar docketing systems is required
• Previous experience with patents, trademarks, and/or litigation required
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks and projects with tight deadlines
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required
• Able to maintain confidentiality for all clients
• BA/BS Degree preferred
• Paralegal Certificate preferred

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
