Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Grant Writer for an amazing organization that focuses on the well-being of children. This is a full-time, direct hire role. The schedule is hybrid: 2 days remote and 3 days in office in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey.
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for researching, drafting, and submitting proposals for funding.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts and presents prospect research for the identification of new funding sources using publicly available resources. Goals are $200k non-governmental funding and $300k government funding.

Generates high-quality proposals, narratives, fund applications and supporting documents in response to solicitations consistent with all policies and procedures of the organization, and the requirements and guidelines of the funding agencies

Assists with interim and final reports for grant funders

Maintains knowledge of and stays current on existing funders’ latest requirements and deadlines for submissions

Prepares and maintains a comprehensive grants and reports calendar

Monitors and tracks progress on grant submissions

Assists with the planning and execution of site visits and special events to cultivate and steward funders
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-2 years of Grant Writing experience within a nonprofit organization
- 1-2 year of development or fundraising experience

Exceptional story-telling writing skills
-
1-2 years of fundraising software experience required

Proficiency in MS Office Suite
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The salary range for this role is $65,000-$70,000 annually, plus free parking and a comprehensive benefits package that includes Health Reimbursement Plan, 401k match, 16 paid holidays (including paid time off for the office closure between Christmas and New Years), 3 weeks of PTO, 2 personal days, and 10 sick days.
