Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Development Manager for an amazing nonprofit dedicated to providing equitable education opportunities to underrepresented communities in Chicago, IL! This is a wonderful, hybrid, full-time, direct-hire opportunity with a dedicated, mission-driven team!

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Chief Advancement Officer and Executive Director to develop and implement strategies for major gifts and annual giving initiatives.
  • Manage donor lists and solicitation materials.
  • Maintain individual giving growth by creating and implementing strategies to raise funds through direct and online solicitation.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans under the direction of the Chief Advancement Officer.
  • Act as a lead for organization leadership and board members, providing all materials and assets requested, ensuring follow through for all solicitation and stewardship activities, and tracking all activities related to individual solicitations.
  • Execute stewardship activities, including the planning of events designed to engage donors and volunteers.
  • Take the lead on administration of the Major Gifts Program including prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship.
  • Work together with the Chief Advancement Officer on the implementation of an Endowment Campaign.
  • Work with the Chief Advancement Officer to develop a strategic goal for the Annual Benefit.
  • Help create the volunteer program identifying prospective volunteers among donors and other community members.

Requirements:
  • Desire to work in a nonprofit organization that serves underrepresented communities.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in fundraising with donors of all levels.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge as well as Google Workspace and MS Office 365.
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the donor cultivation process.

This position with our Client requires employees to report to work at a physical location. Compensation:
This exciting direct-hire opportunity 
offers a salary of $60,000 to $70,000 annually as well as comprehensive benefits (Employer Paid Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with a 6% match, generous PTO, and more!)
