Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Development Manager for our client, a diverse, energetic, and compassionate team that creates positive change in the community of Medford, Oregon! This is a wonderful, onsite, full-time, direct-hire opportunity on a mission-driven team with promising potential for growth!

As a Development Manager, you will be creating and implementing the annual fundraising plan, meeting ambitious financial goals through prospecting, solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship of donors along with managing a portfolio of mid-level and major donors.

What You will be Doing 
  • Lead the development team in achieving annual and long-range fundraising goals ensuring success by developing and implementing the Annual Development Plan, cultivating and soliciting mid-level and major donors and increasing engagement.
  • Manage the overall development budget, oversee the donor management system and ensure accurate gift processing and data reporting.
  • Coach and supervise the development team, to ensure staff members have the tools needed to accomplish their goals, and conduct annual performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the creation of fundraising materials including print and electronic appeals.
  • Collaborate with Advancement Director, Executive Director, and senior management to identify funding needs related to organizational strategic goals and budgets.
  • Represent clients to the general public, including but not limited to public speaking, committees, and outreach to various partners and government agencies as appropriate.

What You Have To Offer
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 3+ years of development experience in major gift cultivation, event planning, fundraising and donor stewardship
  • Experience working on a fundraising team that successfully raised more than $1 million in revenue annually.
  • Experience in identifying and securing major gifts ($10,000+ level).
  • 2 years of leadership and/or supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated success with planning and executing large events.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated record of accomplishment in these areas.
  • A valid Oregon driver’s license.

Compensation:
This exciting direct-hire opportunity offers a salary of $75,000 to $85,000 annually as well as comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision), HSA, 403B Plan, Mercy Flights, Life Insurance, PTO, Paid Sick Leave, and a Cell Phone Stipend.
