Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Development Associate for our nonprofit client in San Francisco! This is a wonderful full-time, hybrid, 4-month contract opportunity with a dedicated, mission-driven team!
 
What You Will Be Doing 
  • Provides administrative support to the development team, handling tasks such as grant administration, proposal submissions, and coordination of internal reviews.
  • Manages administrative aspects of clients sponsorship campaigns and programs, utilizing Salesforce for donation processing and grant tracking.
  • Coordinates cultivation and stewardship events, managing invitation lists, logistics, and event materials.
  • Collaborates with grants, research management, communications, and finance to align external grant requirements with project work plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitors deadlines, tracks publication release dates related to funding, and communicates with funders in advance of events or publications.
  • Utilizes Workfront for project management, ensuring proper acknowledgment of funders on related publications.
  • Processes gifts, maintains the donor database system, and ensures timely acknowledgment of gifts through thank-you letters.
  • Supports development team and leadership in various development-related activities, including donor visits, meetings, events, proposals, and material preparation.
  • Reviews event registration lists for prospective funders and donors, facilitating targeted outreach.
  • Assists with other institutional events and activities as required.

What You Have To Offer
  • 1+ year of related experience in fundraising/development environment. Preferably in foundation, research, government or university setting. 
  • Proficient in MS Office and donor databases, with a preference for Salesforce experience.
 
Compensation
This position provides an hourly pay rate of $35.00 with a wonderful collaborative team and more! Optional Medical, Vision, and Dental insurance while on assignment after 30 days of employment!
