Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Development Manager on behalf of our client, a well-known nonprofit organization championing animal welfare across the Tennessee Valley. This is a direct-hire, hybrid position based in Knoxville, TN.

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including major gifts, grants, and events.
Build and maintain relationships with donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
Plan and coordinate fundraising events like galas and auctions.
Identify grant opportunities and assist with proposals and reporting.
Manage donor communications, including newsletters and campaigns.
Oversee donor database management and ensure accurate reporting.
Represent the organization at community and networking events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or a related field OR 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience.
Proven track record of securing funding through major gifts, grants, corporate partnerships, and campaigns.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
Experience managing donor databases (e.g., DonorPerfect or similar).
Passion for animal welfare and the organization’s mission.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for events.
Compensation: This position offers an annual salary of $75,000!
