Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Regional Head of Americas for a globally recognized nonprofit professional association dedicated to advancing commercial and contract management practices. This remote-based role, ideally located within the U.S., offers an exciting opportunity to lead strategic growth initiatives and drive business development across the Americas region. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, the Regional Head of Americas will oversee a team, manage a substantial revenue portfolio, and foster strategic partnerships to expand the organization’s presence and influence.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic, strategic leader with exceptional business development, communication, and leadership skills. This individual will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing regional growth strategies, engaging with members and stakeholders, and driving initiatives that enhance member value. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring regular travel within the Americas and occasional global travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regional Strategy and Leadership
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the Americas region, identifying growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and member engagement priorities.
  • Lead and inspire a remote, international team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Collaborate with the global leadership team to align regional initiatives with organizational goals.
Business Development and Revenue Growth
  • Oversee a revenue portfolio of approximately $3 million, with an annual growth target of 9%.
  • Drive business development efforts to expand and nurture an account base of around 100 corporate members, ensuring high renewal rates and cultivating new relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and sponsorships to support revenue growth.
Member Engagement and Advocacy
  • Serve as the regional advocate for the commercial and contract management discipline, representing the organization at conferences, events, and public forums.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and thought leadership to inspire stakeholders and elevate the organization’s presence in the Americas.
  • Provide tailored support to members, ensuring access to the latest learning solutions, research, insights, and member benefits.
Stakeholder and Partnership Management
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including members, partners, vendors, and industry leaders.
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to enhance member value and deliver impactful initiatives.
  • Partner with marketing and communication teams to effectively promote the organization’s mission and programs.
Operational Management and Team Oversight
  • Lead and manage a team including a Business Operations Manager, Strategic Alliances Director, and Sub-Regional Leads.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and team alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Oversee budget management, reporting, and achievement of performance metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development or strategic leadership, ideally in the not-for-profit, professional membership, or commercial sectors.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and driving membership growth initiatives.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and innovative approach to driving growth and enhancing member value.
  • Outstanding communication, public speaking, and engagement skills, with the ability to inspire and influence diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to lead remote international teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HubSpot or similar CRM systems is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of commercial and contract management is preferred, or a willingness to become well-versed in the field.
  • Foreign language proficiency is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $120,000–$160,000 (dependent on experience) and a comprehensive benefits package.
