Scion Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct the search for a contract entry-level Manufacturing Assistant for our client, a well-known Product Company in San Leandro, CA. This entry level job you will learn how to use a laptop to print products with our expanding startup product company. This position starts right away, is full time, onsite in San Leandro, CA and starts at $17.00 hourly, plus sick time, medical benefits, and 401k after one year. There is tons of room for professional growth in long term title, responsibilities, and also earnings as this is a start up product at a established company! We are looking for an attentive Manufacturing Assistants to help us create awesome products and be trained, and learn the manufacturing process part of an awesome team at a wonderful company!


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn new skills and manage 3d printing! 
• Prepare and assemble materials 
• Build product sub-assemblies or final assemblies
• Review work orders, instructions and specifications
• Possesses knowledge of the structure and function of production equipment.
• Operate machinery to assist in the production process
• Assist in packaging products
• Report to supervisors’ backlogs and delays in production and shortages of supplies
• Assembles product parts by using various tools
• Evaluate the quality of end products.
• Ensure that the workspace is clean and neat.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6 months of experience within a production, assembly or manufacturing environment
• Computer literacy 
• Adaptability 
• Ability to work with small hand tools 
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• High School Diploma
• Interest in Technology a plus

COMPENSATION:
This opportunity offers a pay rate of $17 hourly, depending on experience. There is great potential to grow professionally while working for a growing corporation with immense potential.
