Scion Executive Search is delighted to share that Janeen Simon has been selected as the incoming Executive Director of Sustainable Harvest International! Janeen is a dedicated leader possessing a three-decade career with nonprofit organizations. A fervent advocate of environmental causes, she is passionate about teaching sustainable food production to address climate stress, growing poverty rates, and environmental degradation. 

Sustainable Harvest International (SHI) is an environmental nonprofit with over 25 years of experience partnering with smallholder farmers to adopt regenerative practices that nourish people and the planet. Built on the idea that environmental degradation and rural poverty are linked, SHI affirms that the solution to these problems must also be linked. Since 1997, SHI has provided local, long-term technical assistance and training to rural farming families in Central America. Its proven model equips and empowers low-income farmers with resources to implement alternatives to slash-and-burn agriculture, sustain the land for future generations of farmers, halt tropical deforestation, and build strong, self-supporting communities through agribusiness.
